Current plans
include the renovated and historic Attucks Theater, a landmark for the African American community since 1919; it is the oldest theater in the state. The City of
Norfolk is supporting a $6 million renovation with the Crispus Attucks Cultural Center Inc. and is scheduled for completion this year.
